Henry Dunant, founder of the red cross, inspired Christian Benda’s poem 'A Vision of Solferino', to support the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent’s Campaign 'OUR WORLD, YOUR MOVE'.
Jean Henry Dunant's life (May 8, 1828 - October 30, 1910) is a study in contrasts. He was born into a wealthy home but died in a hospice; in middle age he juxtaposed great fame with total obscurity, and success in business with bankruptcy; in old age he was virtually exiled from the Genevan society of which he had once been an ornament and died in a lonely room, leaving a bitter testament. His passionate humanitarianism was the one constant in his life, and the Red Cross his living monument.

Benda on Climate Allies
Three of the world’s great classical musicians, Christian Benda, Daniel Barenboim and Barbara Hendricks, have contributed unique musical statements in support of global efforts to address the devastating human impact of climate change. Renowned pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, operatic soprano Barbara Hendricks, and cellist and conductor Christian Benda recently became Climate Allies in support of Kofi Annan’s “Tck Tck Tck: Time for Climate Justice” campaign. This campaign will last about 40 days.

The world continues its velvet revolution in green within the various realms of nature, the mineral world, the green plants, the animals and human beings.
Our next revolution will be a green Velvet Revolution.
The Velvet Revolution changes color.
The new revolution for our earth will be green.
Our world continues its velvet revolution in green.
The green Velvet Revolution
We need to include in the continuous Velvet Revolution of our world, the green nature.
Also green is the Velvet Revolution of our world.
A voice in the wilderness, a voice in the silence, a light on the road.
With the motto: 'The Earth rotates, the revolution continues', 'The revolution is not over', 'ART for MAN', 'let us defend human values'.
